Christmas

2021 Christmas Home Tour

Decor for the house is finally Christmas ready and as always I love all the rooms. This year we decided to go with classic themes and traditional red and white.

Here is the downstairs area with red and white all around.

Having a mantle this year made all the difference and gave me a centered area to focus the decor around. I love the white ceramic houses and how they compliment the area.

This tree is very tall and needed a lot of decor. As always, I only added ornaments to the front and sides but I am sure I used hundredths of ornaments and lots of ribbon and mesh. The big statement pieces I found at HobbyLobby and Walmart. I have moved away from the traditional skirt and prefer to use wrapped boxes instead.

Keeping with the white and red color scheme, I made my nutcracker tree idea come to life. As always, Jorge put his painting skills to use and spray painted these for me.

More red and white in the kitchen and I love the wreaths on the counter stools. Also, lets’ dream that my kitchen is this clean and organized during the Christmas season.

The boys’ room was all about gingerbread. We made gingerbread houses for them, which they helped decorate, and added a few interactive pieces. These, however, turned into never ending entertainment and started getting in the way of sleep. For next year, we may have to rethink elaborate decor like this. But they surely looked adorable!

And this small Christmas gingerbread inspired tree is extremely cute. I can totally see myself making it again next year.

The last room, and my favorite one this year is Angie’s room. She wanted black and white decor in all her room and I think I delivered just that.

Next year, it will be all about colors. Can’t wait!
