Christmas gift guide, with items we have bought and enjoyed.

Around this magical time, you start seeing Christmas gift guides for all and from all. I have lost track of how many influencers and Youtubers have given me their gift guide this past week. While I appreciate them taking time to create a list, I can’t hardly relate to any of the items they are listing. All the ideas are extremely cute, but many are impractical and most are extremely expensive. With that in mind, I wanted to create a list of items an average parent can buy, that won’t break the bank, and that your child may enjoy. No guarantees here that your child will love these, but mine have, so here we go:

Toys for toddlers:

Yoyi loves cars. Well, it’s more like he is obsessed with them. So, we have made several purchases of cars and car related toys this year. He has really enjoyed these:

Mix or Match Magnetic Vehicles. Still available at Sams Club.

STEM Build your own truck, now currently available on Amazon. I really like STEM toys, and he seems to enjoy them as well.

This one fits right in with his new obsession with the trash truck. It’s not the expensive one I have seen around but he really likes it and is affordable. Toddlers don’t know nor do they care which brand things are, so he is happy with this trash truck model. It is also holding up very nicely after endless trips to daycare. You can find it at Walmart.

Yoyi loved the bounce house in the summer and could surely use it during “winter time in Florida” which means 80 degrees by noon. It provides hours of entertainment and a super tired child at the end. The one we purchased is no longer available at Sams but you can find a lot of discounted ones at this time on Amazon.

Angie also having lots of fun

Other items we bought this year and he has enjoyed, but certainly not as much include:

We found it at Sams but it is no longer available. You can check out Kohls or try other retailers.

And the one that is played with every day but not for its intended purpose.

Hot Wheels Corkscrew Crash Track Set

This seemed like a great idea at the time but it was quickly taken apart and now different pieces are used as teethers, wands, and bats.

Toys for older babies:

The baby has not received as many gifts this year. He was really into just looking at us for a good 6 months. Since becoming more aware of his surroundings and due to constant teething, he has enjoyed anything and everything that can be chewed on. The toys I am sharing are three that we had with Yoyi and again with the baby and they both like them.

Will this thing get on your nerves? Absolutely. But I assure you it will cause you to smile and even laugh. It’s noisy but my kids have loved it. Both have it and I can’t wait for the corn popping concert. You can buy it from Amazon, Buy Buy Baby, and Target.

Pop a Ball Push and Pull.. Also from Target

This pop a ball toy reminds me of one Angie had as a toddler. She loved to sit and watch the balls. No luck on the boys ever doing that but I figured its a good one for Toni to practice his walking skills as well as other motor skills when playing with the balls.

The boys both also used the Fisher Price puppy walker and enjoyed it. It is very affordable and was a great help to get them started with walking.

I hope my list of affordable toys was useful and your child can enjoy one or more of these.

Follow me on Instagram to see pictures of the boys enjoying all of these, and to find out which other ones Santa brings them this year.
