Easter inspired tree

Tree decorating has taken on a new meaning this year with my decision to keep the tree up and decorate for both Valentine’s day and now Easter. It has been a fun journey thinking of ideas that could showcase these, while trying to keep it simple and budget friendly. The focus of the decor for this tree was bunnies and I decided to use some of my woodland inspired Christmas items. Burlap, jute, and greenery were all acceptable options.

Due to my recent obsession with DIYs, this tree includes a few simple DIYs from Dollar Tree products that were quick and easy. The carrot and bunny ornaments were customized with some paint and bows to bring color to the tree in a variety of orange and white shades. I also created some Rae Dunn inspired eggs by painting plastic eggs white and adding vinyl letters. In the absence of a more fitting topper, I bought some burlap and made a bow. Other small items included signs and small table decor.

For the table, I used my wheelbarrow and added some crinkle paper and decorative carrots. We customized the tiered tray with more carrots and bunny items. And to stay true to the bunny inspiration, Jorge made a trip to Michaels and searched for moss bunnies.

While I am not the biggest fan of orange and green tones, I love how this decor turned out. This will be my last tree until Christmas time, but we are already thinking about all the possible decor ideas for next year’s Valentine and Easter trees.

All the behind the scenes, decorating videos, and some of the DIYs will be on my instagram.
