EGGcited for Easter

We love Easter in this household. Well, if you have been here a while, you can probably say that we love all holidays, special days, party days, and any and all excuses to get together with friends and family to have some fun. We had friends over to celebrate Easter with yummy snacks, messy crafts, and even some butterfly playing. And we even had time to fit in some egg hunting.

Easter’s sweet pastel colors make me so happy.

And for all the things you can do with some molds and cookies cutters, here are some of our bunny inspired food items. There are so many cute ideas on the internet, but little children won’t eat 50 courses.

On to Yoyi’s favorite part of any party… the crafts. We tried the fun colored whipped cream to dye our eggs, and snack on it. And some serious peep stamping. What a masterpiece!

Toni’s favorite part was the egg hunt. We avoided the candy and decided to do letters instead. The Florida heat makes chocolate or candy inside eggs a little challenge because everything melts. They kids don’t know candy is supposed to be inside the eggs so they were thrilled to find anything inside at all. We opened all of our eggs and sorted our letters.

Don’t worry, I did give them sweets!

And my favorite was the sweet moment when they got to help release two of the butterflies. An amazing experience!

I can’t wait to celebrate again on Easter Sunday.
