Hearts, candy, and more DIYs.

… and Valentine’s day decorating continues because I had to add more magic to the areas surrounding the tree. Angie and I set out to decorate the entire space using DIYs and it was surely time consuming. However, we enjoyed the process and is becoming a mother-daughter fun activity. Angie is so creative and every activity turns into: we can do this, and this, and how about this. I have to say we did not execute all the things we had planned because it would have taken too long, but we are really happy with how the entire area turned out. And if we are saying thanks, I have to add a big thanks to Jorge who helped me make a heart balloon arch and took the time to drill holes to hang it on the wall (all while telling me that he can’t understand my obsession with balloons and that he hopes this is the last one).

And here is my little area, that just brings so much happiness

We made the candy cones by hot glueing the candy to styrofoam cones, and adding a cute bow on the top. The remaining candy was placed in the clear glass and another bow was added. *no pink candy on sight because we ate them all*

The little sweet shops were purchased at dollar tree, and we decided to paint over them using the pastel colors from the tree. We used the same small bottle of paint for all the decorations and had plenty left.

Other items used included gumball machines from Walmart, a bead garland that we decided to paint with the same tones, some dollar tree flowers, and a bunch of sweets.

And we are now officially done with Valentine’s day decorating. Next up will be Easter, and I can’t wait to start planning that tree decor. Follow me on Instagram for all the Easter fun coming up soon.
